Erasmus+ Programs

Erasmus + Program started to be implemented as of January 1, 2014; is the general name of the roofing program which includes support for different age groups and different target groups in the fields of education, youth and sports. Within the Erasmus + Program, support for school education, higher education, vocational education, adult education and youth continues as in the previous programs, and grants are also provided for sports projects.

What’s new with Erasmus + Program:

• Comenius, Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig programs, Youth Program and 5 international cooperation programs (Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, Alpha, Edulink and Collaboration Program with Industrialized Countries), which are carried out under the Lifelong Learning Programs, are included under the title of Erasmus + Program. Simultaneous application rules and procedures are introduced with a single program and fragmented structure and duplications come to an end,

• Grants guarantee program is being implemented to support the graduate students to acquire the skills necessary to continue their education abroad and work in a knowledge-intensive job,

• Bilateral Cooperation with Industrialized Countries in the field of Higher Education, which was implemented in the previous period, remains among the central projects of the Erasmus + Program, including the youth field.

• Large-scale partnerships (Knowledge Partnerships) aimed at increasing creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship between higher education institutions and businesses by introducing new teaching methods and partnerships between education and training institutions / organizations to increase employability through innovative VET methods for sectors (Sectoral Skills Partnerships)

• Mobility and partnership opportunities are strengthened significantly in the new period and grants are increased, especially for higher education / vocational students, teachers, trainers and youth workers.

Erasmus+ School Education Staff Mobility Program

Within the scope of the Lifelong Learning Program, which was carried out by the European Commission between 2007 and 2013 and ended in 2014, the grant support in the field of school education continues under the Erasmus + Program between 2014-2020.

The Erasmus + Program aims to provide more effective tools to promote cooperation between different sectors in line with the objectives of the European 2020 Strategy for new needs in the fields of education, youth and sports.

Particularly in the field of school education, it aims to improve the quality of education and to strengthen cooperation between schools and educational staff in Program Countries.

The target group of the Erasmus + School Education activities in the most general sense includes the public or private institutions and organizations that are parties to school education and the administrators, educators / teachers and students in these institutions. Applications can only be submitted to the National Agency by institutions and organizations. Individual applications are not accepted.

Erasmus+ is a program which aims students, adult and trainers see other cultures and develop theirselves.

Erasmus+ VET Learner and Staff Mobility Program

Grant support provided in the field of vocational training within the scope of the Lifelong Learning Program, which was carried out by the European Commission between 2007 and 2013 and ended in 2014, will continue under the Erasmus + Program between 2014 and 2020.

The Erasmus + Program aims to provide more effective tools to promote cooperation between different sectors in line with the objectives of the European 2020 Strategy for new needs in the areas of education, youth and sports.

In particular, vocational education and training aims to increase the employment and skills of vocational education students, to contribute to the competitiveness of the European economy, to support the strengthened European cooperation in the field of vocational education and to ensure quality assurance.

Applications may only be submitted by institutions and organizations to the National Agency or to the Agency of the EU Commission, depending on the type of project. Individual applications are not accepted.

The grant support activities in the field of vocational education under the Erasmus + Program are given below.

Sectoral Skills Partnerships

Students and trainers learn many things in mobility actions of Erasmus+ programs.

Erasmus + Adult Education Staff Mobility

The Erasmus + Program aims to provide more effective tools to promote cooperation between different sectors in line with the objectives of the European 2020 Strategy for new needs in the fields of education, youth and sports.

Particularly in the field of Adult Education, it is aimed to increase the quality of adult education and to strengthen the cooperation between the organizations operating in the field of adult education in the member countries of the Program.

Erasmus + Adult Education projects are aimed at improving the basic skills of adults (literacy, numerical and digital) and key competences. For this reason, projects aimed at the basic vocational education of adults (I-VET) and continuous / ongoing vocational education (C-VET) aimed at improving the professional knowledge and skills of the professionals are not included in the Erasmus + Adult Education activities.

The target audience of the projects in the field of Adult Education is the personnel responsible for the training of adults within the scope of basic skills and key competences and adult learners in these fields. Adult learners can only participate in mobility activities abroad in the Strategic Partnerships for Adult Education projects if they meet the objectives of the project.

Strategic Partnerships for Adult Education

Erasmus + Youth Mobility

Erasmus + Program, which was put into practice between 2014-2020, is a new program combining many programs, opportunities and networks, especially the Lifelong Learning and Youth Programs, which the European Union has been implementing in the fields of education and youth. In the Erasmus + world, there are European opportunities for citizens of all ages and sectors. In Erasmus + Youth activities, there are unmissable opportunities for our young people, youth workers and all our citizens who want to be involved in projects for young people.

Knowledge of a foreign language is not a prerequisite for participating in the Erasmus + Youth Program.

What can be done?

Individual Opportunities: Young people can participate in educational activities at home and abroad or do European Voluntary Service. They can participate in projects prepared by other groups and organizations as participants.

Opportunities for Youth Groups: You are not a member of an organization but do you want to prepare your own project? Get a band, then! Meet at least 5 young people (4 participants + 1 group leader), form a gender-balanced group as possible, name your group, find and apply for partners!

Opportunities for legal entities (NGOs, active profit-making organizations in the field of public and social responsibility):

You can submit your project application in all sub-programs. Young people, youth workers, representatives of the organization or the mobility of staff working in this field can apply for any project.
