Start of 2nd Semester 2022 – MSc on Smart Maritime & Surveying Systems
The Surveying & MARiTime internet of thingS EducAtion (SMARTSEA https://www.smart-sea.eu/) project aims to develop an advanced interactive certified MSc course related to Maritime & Surveyor IoT applications that will train individuals with the necessary skills & knowledge to work in the rising “Smart Maritime & Surveying” industry.
Like in the first semester, teaching in the second semester will be a mix of (online) classroom & laboratory time. The academic activities will start on 24 January 2022 and will continue until 29 April 2022.
Our teaching team, primarily composed of outstanding teachers, managers and researchers with various training background in maritime education, is fully enthusiastic to share and exchange their insights and know-hows. Lectures were recorded and uploaded on the e-Learning platform, providing Teaching Methodology access, classroom-to-classroom interconnected projects, remote experimentation on laboratory apparatus & the demonstrators. The platform is designed to offer teaching material, online experimentation and networking between the students and they will be able to access it even from their home (https://smartsea.ea.consulting/).
For the successful attendance of the course, at the end of the 2nd Semester, students will receive MSc Diploma certificates and awarded the equivalent of 60ECTS credits as defined by the certification rules. The students enrolled in the Programme will also have a unique chance to apply all the knowledge that they learned during the course and learn new on-the-job techniques on 3 mobility periods, scheduled during summer 2022.
